Getaway.

Mr. is a hunter. I'm learning to appreciate this hobby (practically lifestyle) of his. Growing up my Dad took me fishing but never hunting. Weston knew how to use a gun before he was a teenager. In the past few years I've learned a few things...

1. Camo is going to be a part of my life whether I like it or not. {I now own one article of clothing with this classy pattern.}
2. Hunting is a newlywed couple's best friend. Our freezer is filled to the brim with deer steaks and ground meat. {and actually one of the leanest meats out there}
3. Mounting heads of animals on the wall is acceptable. Still resistant to this way of thinking. {we do have an Antelope in our office. No more allowed. }
4. The mountains can be just as fun and beautiful as the beach. {My beach bum mentality is slowing morphing into an outdoorsy one}
5. Fall weekends will rarely be spent at home. {To the cabin we go for mountain advenure}

There really is no better getaway than a cabin in the woods surrounded by hundreds of acres. Nothing to do but explore and enjoy nature, or snuggle up inside with a cup of coffee and a good book. I still haven't decided if I will try it out...

Any of you ladys have hunting hubbies or do some hunting yourselves?

mint tea and a fun movie.

earlier this fall when Mr. took me to "scout" deer.

learning to love this getup

My handsome hunter.

My view from the cabin, and favorite part of our weekends there.

Starbucks stops on the turnpike on the way to the cabin, don't mind if we do.

Porch view and inside view, love this place.
